Success Story

Carmen William

Wishing everyone could feel this good about themselves.

It's not hard to eat more fruits and vegetables, even some of the gas stations are offering apples, oranges, bananas, baked chips and healthier selections. When I noticed this, I was like 'Wow, I don't have to have that candy bar.'" - Carmen Williams, New Ulm.

It used to be hard for Carmen to keep up with her seven grandkids. Now, after losing 40 pounds over the last two years and keeping it off, she wishes everyone could feel this good about themselves. “When I started this journey, I didn’t think I could do it. But sticking with it and seeing the pounds come off encouraged me even more.” Finding fruits and veggies she loves helps her make lower-calorie, lower-fat choices that still satisfy her cravings. She successfully has her diabetes under control and is thankful for the support of her daughters, her boss and her doctor. “You can’t do it alone — you need cheerleaders to say you’re doing well and help you get back on track when you need it.” Way to SWAP IT, Carmen!
