Through activities, education, policies and environmental changes, the award-winning Hearts Beat Back: The Heart of New Ulm Project is making great strides at creating a community without heart disease in New Ulm, Minn.

With the help of grant funding, Hearts Beat Back: The Heart of New Ulm Project has expanded some of its activities beyond New Ulm's borders to help people in other Brown County communities make healthier choices, too.

Throughout New Ulm, you can feel the energy of people working together to stamp out heart attacks and make our city the healthiest in America. In homes, neighborhoods, fitness centers, restaurants, stores and workplaces, people in New Ulm have made an amazing amount of change.
