Women's Heart Health
For many women, it can be all too easy to focus on the needs of others while putting their own needs aside. That tendency can impact a woman's health, especially the health of her heart. Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for women, however fewer than three in 10 women perceive heart disease as their greatest health threat. Our research efforts focus on women's point of care – where the ideal place to reach women is, how they prefer to receive messages and what programs and/or educational campaigns they are interested in participating in. We are effectively reaching women through providers, community interventions, and social media efforts.
