Hello! When I went to "The Biggest Loser" ranch to begin my journey, I received some tips that helped me get started. I hope that when you've finished reading this, you'll have received some tips that will help you, too.

The first day at "The Biggest Loser" was a shock for many of us. We had to endure some things we thought were going to kill us! They did this for a reason. For years, we'd been telling ourselves that we couldn't stand up and make a change. We thought that working out for more than 20 minutes would kill us. Our personal trainers Bob and Jillian knew that we needed to be shown that we could do more.

That is the first thing I want to instill in you. You are capable of more. When you actually see and believe this, a door will open that will lead to new possibilities in life. I am telling you now that no matter where you are in your journey, you are capable of so much more.

The second tip I'm going to give you is that you need to budget your calories. Before making a change you need to know where you stand. Keep a log of everything you eat for one week. When you see it on paper, you'll be able to make improvements. I was amazed at how much I ate in an average day.

The next tip is to make a schedule. I try to get a workout in early in the morning. One reason for this is that later in the day, it's easy to do things you enjoy more than working out. If you get that workout in first, you'll know that your day has started right. Later in the day, you might even get that "extra credit" workout in. You'll be ahead of the game instead of catching up.

I hope these tips can help you get started. Stay tuned for more as the "Six-Week Jump Start to Losing Weight" moves forward. I'm glad to be a part of your journey. It will not only affect you, but those around you as well!
