Bronze level restaurants are making it easy for you to eat well by offering the following:
- At least one non-fried vegetable side dish
- One or more half-sized portion entrée(s)
- A healthy side dish (for example, fresh fruit or a non-fried vegetable) in place of fries and a healthier drink (for example, nonfat milk, low-fat milk, diet soda or 100% juice) as part of the kids’ menus (if available)
- Fat-free or low-fat milk
- A low- or no-calorie drink (for example, diet soda or unsweetened tea)
- Baked chips or non fried vegetable in place of chips or fries at no additional charge
- A low-fat or fat-free salad dressing
Silver level restaurants are making it easy for you to eat well by offering the following:
- At least one non-fried vegetable side and one fruit side
- Three or more half-sized portion entrée(s)
- A healthy side dish (for example, fresh fruit or a non-fried vegetable) in place of fries and a healthier drink (for example, nonfat milk, low-fat milk, diet soda or 100% juice) as part of the kids’ menus (if available)
- Fat-free or low-fat milk
- A low- or no-calorie drink (for example, diet soda or unsweetened tea)
- Baked chips, if snack chips are available
- A low-fat or fat-free salad dressing
- A salad, fruit or non-fried vegetable as french fries or potato chips substitute with all entrée choices
- Sandwich buns without butter
- Spreads and dressings on the side
- Olive oil and trans-fat-free margarine as a butter substitute
- Foods cooked in trans fat-free/saturated fat-free frying oil
- A whole grain (for example, 100% whole wheat) bread or bun option for sandwiches, burgers and bread baskets
