The first New Ulm KNUJ Farmer’s Market of the season will begin Thursday, June 25 and it will have a new location. The Farmer’s Market has moved from the parking lot of Runnings to Target at 1914 South Broadway. The hours will remain the same with the market on Thursday’s running from 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. and Saturday’s from 9 a.m. until noon.

When it ended last November, participants in Hearts Beat Back: The Heart of New Ulm Project’s LOSE IT to WIN IT Community Health Challenge earned a total of $59,175 toward a community prize. In the fall of 2014, a portion of those earnings — $19,104 — were used to purchase and install five pieces of outdoor fitness equipment at Harman Park.
